About Tri-County Electric
Welcome to Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TEC)— We are a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving three counties in Minnesota including Winona, Houston and Fillmore and parts of Olmsted and Mower counties and we also serve portions of Howard, Winneshiek and Allamakee counties in Iowa. TEC has about 13,000 electrical services.
Our cooperative was founded in 1936 when power was not available to rural residents. Local citizens banded together to build lines going out to their homes and farms. Those people created a company that has prospered while providing its members with competitive electric rates and expanded services for 75 years.
Take a look around and if you have any questions, concerns or comments about TEC, feel free to contact me by phone at 1-800-432-2285 or by e-mail. Your feedback is always welcome!
