SELECTUS Energy is a propane provider, serving the counties of Houston, Fillmore and Winona in Southeast Minnesota. SELECTUS Energy consolidated its propane business with Country Comfort, of western Wisconsin. Country Comfort is an alliance between TEC, Barron Electric Cooperative and Country Pride Co-op.

PowerPlus Engineering, L.L.C.
PowerPlus Engineering L.L.C. is a full-service engineering firm specialized in the electric utility field. They offer a range of services from system design to purchasing. This is another cooperative venture where four rural electric cooperatives have a 50% ownership stake in the company. The partners include: TEC, Allamakee-Clayton Electric Cooperative, Hawkeye REC and Heartland Power Cooperative, along with the company founders Thomas Nigon, P.E. and Tim Smith.

Heartland Security
Heartland Security provides security systems and personal emergency monitoring systems. Heartland Security is owned by 13 rural electric cooperatives in southern Minnesota and northwestern Iowa. The company currently protects nearly 4,000 customers.
