Understanding Your Bill

TEC billing dates

  • Bills arrive in the mail by the 1st of the month
  • Payment is due the 11th of every month. (Unless the 11th falls on a weekend or holiday, in which the due date would be the next business day.)

Your BillThis page is dedicated to helping you understand what each section of your bill means.

Bill Format
The bill is separated into five numbered sections as illustrated in the example. Each section contains information to help serve and inform our members. Select any of these numbers to see the information about that section of the bill, then use the "Back to Example Bill" link following the information to return to the picture.

Return Payment Stub
Perforated for convenience, this stub is to be returned with the payments to ensure accounts are credited correctly. An area is provided for members who read their own meter(s) to record the reading(s).

If a home telephone number is on file in our records, it will appear on this stub. If no number is on file, we will need to be provided with a home and work number where the member may be reached.
