2012 Rebate programs

All Rebates:

Must be purchased, installed and/or recycled in 2012 (Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2012).
Rebates are in place through December 31, 2012 or until funds, by incentive or in total, are depleted.
Rebate application form and required paperwork must be submitted by Jan. 3, 2013. However, members are encouraged to submit rebate form and copy of your receipt as soon as equipment is purchased and installed.

2012 Appliance, HVAC & water heater rebates

The appliance(s) must have the Energy Star® rating.
Visit www.energystar.gov to verify the Energy Star® rating of the appliance.
$25 rebates are available for the following Energy Star appliances: dehumidifier, clothes washer, refrigerator, dishwasher and room air conditioner.
The rebate form, a copy of your invoice and the Energy Star® label must be submitted in order to receive a rebate as a credit on your electric bill.

$40/ton for central air conditioning and mini-splits with a SEER rating of 14.
$60/ton for central air conditioning and mini-splits with a SEER rating of 15.
$80/ton for central air conditioning and mini-splits with a SEER rating of 16.
$200/ton for all ground-source heat pumps.
$40/ton for commercial AC and PTACS must have a EER rating of 11 or greater.
$120/ton for air-source heat pumps.
$120/ton for air-source heat pump PTHPs must have a EER rating of 11 or greater.
The rebate form and a copy of your invoice and AHRI certificate must be submitted in order to receive a rebate credit on your electric bill.

The refrigerator or freezer must be recycled in 2011.
$25 for a freezer.
$25 for a refrigerator.
$25 for a room air conditioner.
The rebate form and a copy of the receipt from a recycling center showing the unit was in working order when recycled (not for resale or reuse) must be submitted in order to receive a rebate as a credit on your electric bill.

$300/unit Heat pump water heater (no load control required).
$300/unit Solar storage water heater with electric back-up.
85, 105 and 120 gallon water heaters must be purchased from TEC to receive rebates listed in the graph above. Free parts (elements & thermostats) and service during business hours. All prices and programs subject to change.
Water heaters require a load management control and are to be installed within 30 days.

$5/ flow restrictor shower.
$5/energy saving power strip/smart strip.

$300/unit for Dairy Heat Recovery with controlled electric water heater
$30 per HP for Scroll Refrigeration Compressor
$30 per HP for Variable Frequency Drives (max $500/drive)
$30 per HP for Variable Speed Compressed Air (max $500/drive)
$1/inch diameter for High Velocity Low Speed Fan
$1/inch diameter for Ventilation (Exhaust) Fan-21 CFM/Watt or more
$1/inch diameter for Circulation Fan-20 lbs.of thrust/kW or more
