Kill A Watt meters
TEC is giving residents another way to track their personal energy use and appliance efficiency. In addition to the Kill A Watt energy usage monitors available for borrowing from TEC, the co-op
donated 30 monitors to 15 local libraries in March 2010.
The monitors can help educate consumers on energy efficiency and allow them to track their electrical expenses.
Anyone who is interested can contact their local library for more information about borrowing the monitors, which are as simple to use as plugging a 120-volt appliance into the meter.
The energy usage monitors are being lent to the public based on the individual library’s lending practices.
