Energy Efficient Rebates

All Rebates:

  • Must be purchased, installed and/or recycled in 2010 (Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2010).
  • Rebates are in place through December 31, 2010 or until funds, by incentive or in total, are depleted.
  • Rebate application form and required paperwork must be submitted by Jan. 15, 2011. However, members are encouraged to submit rebate form and copy of your receipt as soon as equipment is purchased and installed.

2010 Appliance, hvac and water heater rebates

Energy Star Appliance rebates
bullet The appliance(s) must have the Energy StarŪ rating.
bullet Visit www.energystar.gov to verify the Energy StarŪ rating of the appliance.
bullet $25 rebates are available for the following Energy Star appliances: dehumidifier, freezer, clothes washer, refrigerator, dishwasher and room air conditioner.
bullet The rebate form, a copy of your invoice and the Energy StarŪ label must be submitted in order to receive a rebate as a credit on your electric bill.

Central air conditioning & heat pump rebates
bullet $40/ton for central air conditioning and mini-splits with a SEER rating of 14.
bullet $60/ton for cental air conditioning and mini-splits with a SEER rating of 15.
bullet $80/ton for central air conditioning and mini-splits with a SEER rating of 16.
bullet $200/ton for all ground-source heat pumps.
bullet $40/ton for commerical AC and PTACS must have a EER rating of 11 or greater.
bullet $120/ton for air-source heat pumps.
bullet $120/ton for air-source heat pump PTHPs must have a EER rating of 11 or greater.
bullet The rebate form and a copy of your invoice showing the SEER or EER rating must be submitted in order to receive a rebate credit on your electric bill.

Refrigerator & freezer recycling rebates
bullet The refrigerator or freezer must be recycled in 2010.
bullet $50 for a freezer.
bullet $50 for a refrigerator.
bullet $25 for a room air conditioner.
bullet The rebate form and a copy of the receipt from a recycling center showing the unit was in working order when recycled (not for resale or reuse) must be submitted in order to receive a rebate as a credit on your electric bill.

bullet $85, 105 and 120 gallon water heaters must be purchase from TEC to receive rebates listed in the graph above. Free parts (elements & thermostats) and service during business hours. All prices and programs subject to change.
bullet Water heaters require a load management control and are to be installed within 30 days.

Conservation
bullet $1/ flow restrictor faucet.
bullet $5/ flow restrictor shower.
bullet $5/energy saving power strip/smart strip.
bullet $50/drainwater heat recovery system.
bullet The rebate form and a copy of your invoice must be submitted in order to receive a rebate as a credit on your electric bill.
